RE-RELEASE: Introducing Obsessables: Moments in Culture We Can't Stop Thinking About

First up...'Silver Springs' by Fleetwood Mac

(This video/podcast was originally shared to different channels, but this is the new home for all things “Obsessables”.)

When Meredith (

) & Amye ( ) discovered their shared love of “Silver Springs” 1997 live during a recording for a podcast entirely unrelated to Fleetwood Mac, they locked eyes like Stevie and Lindsey during that performance—without the whole decades of toxic romance between them—and knew what they had to do

Amye is 7 inches shorter than me so I’m Martin obvi.

It was time to share their obsession with this singular moment—roughly 48 seconds (yes we tried maths)—of a stare, an intensity, and a history that, once you learn it, you’ll be obsessed too.

Imagine if Taylor Swift wrote “Dear John”, but John Mayer had to help arrange and produce the song and then had to play it and sing backup vocals on stage for decades. That is “Silver Springs”—and “Dreams”, “Go Your Own Way”, etc.

I MEAN

Let us know what you think, how you were introduced to this performance or, if this is the first you’ve heard of it!

We enjoyed the hell out of this first episode of “Obsessables”. There’s a new one dropping in July, so be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it. Here’s a hint…Happy Birthday.
